Oil and Gas Industry of Kazakhstan: Growing Demand for High-Tech Services

Kazakhstan ranks second after Russia among the CIS countries in oil and gas reserves. This country is one of the major net exporters of liquid hydrocarbons in the world. 

The government of the country has ambitious plans. In the medium term Kazakhstan intends to become one of the top ten major oil producers. For that purpose, an increase in hydrocarbon production is required. Nevertheless, the level of technology and infrastructure in the country's production industry impedes implementation of these plans. Kazakhstan can increase production of oil and gas only by introducing new advanced technologies and equipment in the oilfield services. 

About 80 companies are engaged in the oil production in Kazakhstan, while gas is produced by more than 70 companies. All of them are existing and prospective users of oilfield services.
